The Department of International Studies, Political Science, and History in consonance with its mission statement is committed to grooming socially concerned and politically conscious citizens and effective public policy experts. The Department is committed to creating an atmosphere for the teaching and research of the complex forces that determine the shape of the 21st century on politics in all its magnitudes; national, international, comparative, theoretical, and empirical.
The Department of International Studies, Political Science and History is part of the School of Social Sciences, CHRIST (Deemed to be University).
The Department offers two undergraduate programmes in History Economics and Political Science (HEP) and Economics, Political Science, and Sociology (EPS). The Department also offers MA in International Studies and Ph.D. in International Studies, Political Science and History.
These programmes introduce students to the theory and practice of Political Science and International Relations. It provides a platform to understand and analyse issues of power, authority, and governance. Studying and discussing the key questions that confront academics and practitioners can help students become better citizens while enhancing their analytical and communication skills.
The experienced faculty of the department create several opportunities for the students to explore the wide array of issues that arise in politics today and help students hone their skills of enquiry and research.

The Department offers PhD Programmes with distinct interdisciplinary qualities in the field of International Relations, History and Political Science. The Department’s Masters Programme has today evolved to compose of all International Relations’ major area studies, theories, their applications, as well as global tongues like French and Mandarin. It has been moulded with the foremost agenda of making well-equipped professionals out of its student pool.
